ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Ruby Jean Butler
From the day I was born, my mother always said
I was adventurous. I do believe, I came by this naturally.
My daddy, born in Texas, was a working cowboy, a Methodist Circuit
Rider and an artist. Also a survivor of WWI Action. Mother was a
teacher, a suffragette, and a musician. So I was born
for action, adventure and positive thinking.
I was also born into a heritage of love, respect,
faith in God and deep thought and prayer. My two sisters and I were
taught we could have different ideas and disagreements, but never
go to bed angry. Always forgive and forget.

My artwork, a small collection of pictures and
assembled in Photoshop, touches on these feelings and special images
representative of my life. This is a tiny sample from ages 2 to
78 of my lifes adventure.
