Wailekutu road block up again, 1 pm

The road block erected at Wailekutu outside Lami near CJ Patel factory was partially lifted half an ago. However at 1pm it was back up.
Our reporters at the scene spoke to the Navakavu spokesman , Mosese Vesikara. Its understood Tui Suva and a military delegation are meeting
with the those who have set up the road block.
At around 10 this morning , about 50-60 people erected the road block. Its understood that a similar road block has been set up in Namosi. ASP
Romanu Tikotiko is on his way there now.
Its advisable that those travelling to and from the west today on the King and Queens Highway to reschedule their plans because of the situation
on both roads.

Military talks to Korovou rebels, 1 pm

Korovou town was taken by over 150 villagers from Tailevu north at around 8.30 this morning.
They have taken control of the police station and our reporter, Mala Veisamasama says 12-15 police officer's as well as a number of government
workers are detained at the bure . He says some buses and vehicles detained since this morning , were allowed to leave the town.
A military delegation , led by Ratu George Kadavulevu is negotiating with those who are in control of Korovou town.

Landowners take over Korovou town, 10 am

About 150 landowners have taken over the police station at Korovou.
Military spokesperson, Major Howard Politini has confirmed this. He says they have deployed soldiers to the town to address the situation. Its
believed they are protesting the shoot out on Tuesday outside the Parliamentary complex. Its understood two of the five George Speight
supporters injured on that day were from the villager of these land owners.
A number of residents have called the FM96 this morning expressing their concern . Police and military have pleaded to them to remain in doors
and to be calm.
Meanwhile, a road block has been erected at Wailekutu outside Lami.
Our reporters at the scene say 50-60 Waiqanake and Muaivosa villagers have laid two logs across the Queens highway at Wailekutu just outside
Lami near the CJ Patel factory. All traffic to and from the west have been told to turn back.
