NEW FITNESS CENTRE SET FOR EMALUSBy JOHNETY JERETTESTUDENTS studying at Emalus campus in Vanuatu will in the second semester be able to use their new fitness centre. It will be equipped fully once they have funding for the equipment and facilities. Emalus student welfare officer Steven Garae said the room set up did not cost much as it was a conversion of the old building into the centre. ÒWe bought basic new equipment which cost us more than $1000Ó, said Mr Garae. He confirmed the campus is intending to run aerobic sessions. Emalus fitness centre is located in one of the old buildings closest to the roundabout to Le Meridian. There are 10 students who have registered and many more students are collecting forms to register. This hasnÕt prevented students from taking part in other sports activities such as rugby. |
